A Little Bit About Me...
The very first (VERY limited edition) picture book I ever created was the size of a postage stamp and bound by a single staple.  It turns out that a group of mild mannered Fisher Price Little People is the perfect audience for a fledgling illustrator... I was hooked!

A constant stream of doodles and drawings throughout my school age years eventually led me to The University at Buffalo where I earned my Bachelors Degree in Fine Art.  After graduating, I returned to school for Art Education certification classes.  It was during that time that I realized that although I enjoy teaching, the creation of art is where my true passion lies.  I went on to make magical messes across miles of wall space, ceilings and canvas as co-owner of a mural painting company.

My creative journey has been full of twists, turns and incredible adventures. And, after many years of creating art in many ways, I find myself back where it all began... creating picture books.
 
In addition to sharing a studio space with the Fisher Price Little People (that I still have!), I live with my husband and son in Buffalo, NY.

​I am also Co-President of the Buffalo Niagara Children's Writers & Illustrators Group (BNCWI) and the creator of the group's mascot Binkwee.
